Perfumes - another source of inspiration

Scents and perfumes have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. The salty scent of the sea... of green grass and flowers... the homely smell of baking bread... the invigorating waft of freshly brewed coffee... What would life be without them?

I began to wear perfumes in my teens and since then it has been part of my daily routine - I am the sort of woman who feels undressed without a scent! Make-up I can do without, but not perfume : )

Over the past 40 years family and friends have complimented me on my 'sillage' - the trail of perfume I leave behind. But I cannot remember a complete stranger coming up to me, asking me what I am wearing. That is exactly what happened to me a couple of weeks ago at the Vincent van Gogh museum in Amsterdam when a young man approached me. It was a lovely compliment and it certainly helped to make my day!

Perfume is the theme of my second book, Joy's Story, which is a sequel to my first book, The Hawksley Pearls. Both stories are published together in The Scent of Success. If you love perfumes like I do, I am sure you'll enjoy my book!

Happy reading!
Eva
